We treat dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits and “pocket pets.”

Wellness Exams
Regular wellness exams allow our doctors to evaluate and track the health of your pet. Wellness exams are recommended at least annually. in the hopes that small problems can be corrected early, before they become serious. The veterinary profession is currently moving toward twice yearly exams for both young and geriatric patients.

Radiology
We have excellent facilities for taking and developing x-rays right here in our clinic. A properly taken radiograph can identify many common problems. If your pet should need diagnostics, it will not have to go elsewhere. This has the added benefit of allowing us to provide you with “same day” answers in most cases.

In House Lab Work
In most cases, we are able to perform needed diagnostics right here in our clinic. This saves you the worry of waiting for laboratory results from an outside lab, enables us to identify health problems more quickly, and allows us to assess your pet’s internal health on the same day as surgical procedures.

Laser Surgery
The use of the carbon dioxide laser in veterinary medicine is relatively new. We are proud to say that we have been using the laser for over 5 years now, and feel it has added greatly to the comfort of our surgical patients. Use of the laser cauterizes smaller vessels, lymphatics, and nerves–resulting in less pain for your pet!

Dental Cleaning
You can do 2 things to help your pet live a longer life: keep them from being overweight and pay attention to their oral health. Periodontal disease is not only unsightly and smelly, it adversely impacts comfort and long-term health. Currently, annual dental cleanings are recommended for most pets. This only makes sense: a year for them is like 5-7 for you—and they don’t brush twice a day! We offer the most up-to-date dental cleaning, with hand scaling, ultrasonic scaling, and polishing used for all of our patients. Your pet will be given a thorough exam, followed by lab work to assess internal health, followed by the safest possible methods of anesthesia. Dental x-rays are taken if needed, so we can save as many of your pet’s teeth as possible. A detailed pictorial record of the procedure will be made for you, so you can see just how much difference this makes to your loved one.

  Video Vet Scope
Would you like to see just what the doctor is seeing when he/she looks in your pet’s ears? Just have a look at the television monitor on the wall! We pride ourselves in being able to show you just what is wrong, as well as explaining how to fix it. We can also take pictures of the inside of your pet’s ears, what we find on a microscope slide, or of surgical procedures. This can help the other members of your pet’s family understand our recommendations.
